Spring coming around again

Our livelihoods are imploding, greedy bankers are getting richer, the planet is choking on excess carbon and garbage -- and there were some lovely blooms in Golden Gate Park last weekend.


There was nothing exotic about most.


That's not to say they weren't exuberant.




A theme seemed to be shades of pink and purple ...


.. as well as a wispy promise of even more luxuriant days to come.
