Creative destruction

internet-killed.jpg
Lost Weekend Video, a relic of another time, killed by the streaming tubes. On rapidly gentrifying Valencia Street, this feels another loss for the quirky creativity of the neighborhood.

I guess it was just a matter of time. I hadn't been there in ages. I don't even have netflix, but I'm a slave to my TiVo (and have gotten used to downloading shows while they're current). I suppose I left behind some frequent renter dollars, but it doesn't assuage my guilt.

At one point, they were part of gentrification. Interesting how it layers.
