Just for fun

Running along the Bay this morning south of Coyote Point, I noticed a few Canada geese where I expect only egrets and sea gulls. The world-champion grass processors are spreading out, I mused. I have years of experience running through crowds of Canada geese around Lake Merritt and near Crown Beach.

This engrossing video explains how we came to be overrun by Canada geese. Enjoy.

Much more here.

We gotten wild turkeys patrolling our grass in the condos I live in but this spring, no turkeys instead Canadian geese for the first time here. That'll teach us not to water the darned grass so much.

We’ve not seen any Canadian geese here in So Cal that I know of. I won’t build a nest for them though. But what about the Bald Eagles I understand have become a problem in S.F? Here, were turning our Big Bear couple with their eaglets into celebrities.

I wonder if our President knows the Canadian Geese have violated our northern border, illegally entering our country, and should we expect he’ll want to do something about it? After all, we know from him and SIL, what the Russians do relative to our elections is trivial, so maybe he’ll want to focus on the geese border crisis. This may warrant activating the Air Force which he might like to do over our soil— a Wall won’t do it.
