Saturday scenes and scenery:
Urban runners

I have to admit it: these photos are the product of a practice exercise I'm doing.

A month of so ago, I attended a lecture by a travel photographer for the National Geographic in which he shared how he got the shots of people and locales that he was assigned to bring home.

One of his techniques is the unobtrusive candid shot of passersby, taken with the camera held at waist level and no visible focusing.

Usually the subject will never know a picture was taken. This runner was on a path along the Hudson River in New York City.

While this woman has the Bay Bridge in the background. Maybe with more practice I'll get the shot properly horizontal.
