For a country where the literacy rate is about 50 percent (63 percent for men, 35 percent for women), Nepal seems to have a diverse collection of newspapers, at least in the capital. Perhaps this reflects the huge number of languages spoken in this country of roughly 30 million people? Many seem to have their own niche media. The demise of the print journalism has not yet arrived in Nepal.
