This heron
really didn't want to have its picture taken. I was a good 150 feet away when, sensing me, it took flight.
But I crept quietly along the edge of the small lake in Golden Gate Park, then settled in, hoping it would return. It did.
Out by the ocean near Sutro Baths, this heron was much more inured to human attention.
Meanwhile, amid the rocks, gulls fished, impervious to me and my camera.
