Solstice has come

moon-munched.jpg
The moon got munched last night (ca. 11 pm, PST). But today light begins to return.

That was a great photo of it. We didn't get to see it in the NW as way too heavy a cloud cover, but I did see it around 3 AM where the moon was back with its reflected sunlight and I thought how symbolic of what is happening as the sun slowly returns and we head toward summer.

I was surprised I could a get photo of the eclipse that was this good. Once I realized it would be clear, I practiced on the full moon. Still, it worked better than I expected.

Nothing however would have enabled me to stay up for the full coverage later that night. Too tired!
