Saturday scenes and scenery: children out on the streets
One of the pleasant cultural aspects of working for justice and compassion for our immigrant population is that the children are always very much part of the action. In a way, that's what all the fuss is about. This little girl was experiencing what was probably her first pro-immigrant parade.
This one is striving to learn to crawl while her mother and friends keep vigil on Market Street outside Senator Dianne Feinstein's San Francisco office. She'll be tough to keep track of soon enough.
Only feet away, this young person plays under the table on which her father is selling trinkets to tourists.
