SEEKING A WAY FORWARD ... since it has happened here

Donald Trump is coming to Nevada tomorrow
... to prop up his pet Senator.
Challenger Jacky Rosen's campaign has a response ad which I think is rather good at documenting how the Republican, Dean Heller, sold out his constituents for Trump's support. Trump owns Heller, on camera. It is worth watching [2:22].
Sadly, the Trump show is in Las Vegas, so we don't get to go protest with the workers who labor in the casinos to make profits for Trump's billionaire friends. We'll be talking with voters while the plutocrats huddle.
I've only seen two presidential candidates and can't imagine going to a rally either to protest or praise. The first was by accident when Bobby Kennedy was wanting to be the nominee. I was in downtown Portland for a doctor's appointment and he was speaking from a street corner. I stopped to listen for a while, but I voted for McCarthy, who won Oregon-- maybe the only state's delegates he won as I don't remember.
The second was a rally in a town near to us and the university gymnasium-- Jesse Jackson, the first time he ran, when I thought he was a candidate for all the people and not just minorities. I voted for him in that primary. He lost Oregon's delegates to Mondale
Oddly enough, the two I remember seeing in person were the same as Rain's. My Republican mother had a notion I should see Bobby K when he was running for Senator from New York, so she took me to a rally. And I helped put on a rally for Jesse Jackson during the 2008 California primary. I've probably been at other political events where I've seen others, either before they were prominent (Bernie in Vermont in 1970 for example) but those are distinct memories.
