Lots of good folks in the US are protesting Mexico's new postage stamps featuring a stereotypical Black cartoon character.
They could look south further as well. Last week in the Lima airport, I sat for many hours under the logo of "Mama Morena's," just as classic a stereotype, and female to boot.
I guess sensitivity to the "New World's" involuntary inhabitants is something both Americas need to work on.

Those stamps are rather obnoxious. As far as the lady holding the food:
if one never uses an Afican American, one is racist. But if one uses an African American but displays them in a way to make them "palatable" to the public at large?
I guess this is growing pains.
