I was once at a hipsters' computer graphics convention, SIGGRAPH, in Orlando and we were sharing the hotel with the Schlotzky Deli management and food distributors. (Bill Cosby was the keynote speaker so they obviously had money.) I ended up hanging out with them more than the graphics hipsters just because they were so different.
So, I think you need to hang out with the Swine People and the Starbucks People and truly spread culture.
