Spring hike
Last Sunday a friend and I went looking for Warner Falls in the hills above Mill Valley in Marin County. Contrary to the link I've just given you, there is such a place and rather pretty it is, as you can see above. Okay, there is no cascading torrent here, but at this season a steady stream runs down moss-covered rocks.
In spots the stream forms pools large enough to reflect the overhanging tress and sky.
This secluded flow makes for interesting light.
Climbing out of Warner Canyon into the sunlight, we found wild iris in full bloom.
Eventually we came out on Blithedale Ridge where we caught glimpses of San Francisco across the Golden Gate.
