A former warden speaks against the death penalty
Jeanne Woodford was the responsible official who carried out four of the 13 executions that have taken place under California's 1978 death penalty law. She knows the law isn't delivering. Now she is the lead proponent of the SAFE California Act, a November ballot measure that will replace the death penalty with sentences of life without possibility of parole.
Full disclosure: I am working for the campaign. If posts become erratic here, blame the hard work of an election season.

Campaigning does take its toll!!!
I've been pretty buried, too!!!!
I have always considered the death penalty to be wrong on so many fronts. I hope that California leads the way in eliminating it.
