Among the punditocracy, the terrorists have won
We're all supposed to be piss-in-our-pants 'fraidy cats now. No more pride in the our "heritage of freedom" and all that old fashioned due process and rule of law stuff.

Life has always been dangerous; you can get hit by a bus, die by a crazed gunman, catch a life threatening virus, and on and on. I am not going to stop living because a new threat is there. (It isn't really new; look at Kent State, Oklahoma City, et al.)
