A nightmare prospect

There are at least 150 million of us who don't want spam phone calls from this Preznit. We have plenty of reason to believe that nothing he touches will be to our benefit.

We need FEMA to stick to hurricane relief.

The app writer who creates a blocker has a great career ahead.

So even if it was a warning of an incoming nuke to your home, you'd rather not get it? I can't believe any president (he won't be the last able to use this) would be foolish enough to use it for politics. IF they did or he does, it'll be a short-lived system. People won't take the calls.

Yesterday I spent some time talking to a nice young woman fundraising for democrats. The numbers come without saying from who and mix it up with spam. Generally I don't take them when i don't recognize the number-- some can be threatening. Yesterday, I was in the mood to take it. I told her to take our name off their list as we are no longer democrats and won't be donating ever.

She asked if I'd mind telling her why and I did lol. We had a very congenial phone call. She was, from her voice, at the beginning of her adult life with probably small kids. I am at the end of mine. I told her not only how I felt but to watch out for those who say one thing and do another-- in both parties btw, which is why we are now unaffiliated and will stay that way. I doubt that I convinced her of anything, but at least I got to tell her how I felt about the situation in our country now and my concern for her generation more than my own.

Because of when I was born, I had a good shot at life thanks to a system that worked for many of us-- even taking into account the huge mistake that was Vietnam. Now (and this began before Trump) racially things seem worse, and the anger can't be healthy for anybody who feels it.

I wonder who would pay for these incoming messages. Not the cellphone owners, I hope.
