Howard Zinn on empire

Blogging has been a little scant lately, what with being on the road. Several more serious posts are in the works. Meanwhile, here's an 8 minute history lesson.



"Empire or Humanity? What the Classroom Didn't Teach Me about the American Empire," an animated video, based on Howard Zinn's new cartoon book, A People's History of American Empire, with voiceover by Viggo Mortensen.

Cartoonist Mike Konopacki has drawn just how Zinn looks these days. Here's a picture of the historian I caught at the last Historians Against the War conference. The next meeting of that valuable group is in Atlanta, April 11-13. I'll be there.
