Wordle creates word clouds out of any text you insert in it. For this Sunday evening, I thought I'd drop in some religious texts.
Here's the first chapter of Genesis, the ancient Hebrew creation myth:
And here's the Nicene Creed. No one will be surprised to see that in the 4th century after Christ this effort to lock the deity down to a formula of words leaned toward the patriarchal.
In honor of today's Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, here's the prayer attributed to that 13th century exemplar of Christian simplicity.
