On beyond the Super Bowl ...
comes the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC in mid-February. As per usual, the host city wishes its poor citizens would disappear for the duration. Some locals don't want Vancouver to get away with this ...
Poverty may be with us always, but no one wants to see it or do anything about it. I think it's part guilt over having so much and part feeling "There, but for the grace of God, go I."
